David Wilson
Course DirectorDavid graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Chemistry. He then studies for a postgraduate degree in Education. He has 20 years experience of teaching in state and independent schools in the UK. He has been working at a top independent school in Berkshire since 2006 first as Head of Chemistry and subsequently as Head of Science. For the past 5 year he has been International Academic Director and his role has been focused on International activities, particularly China. He is an examiner and school inspector of international schools.
Annabel Frost
Head of English Language teachingAnnabel studied French and Linguistics at the University of Leeds before training as a teacher at the University of Exeter. She has since qualified with Cambridge ESOL CELTA and DELTA courses and has experience of working with Summer schools in Oxford and Madrid. For the past 5 years she has been Head of English as an Additional Language at an Independent boarding school in Surrey. When away from work she enjoys travelling and being fluent in French and Spanish putting these into practice and exploring new cultures.
Edward Jones
English Language TeacherEdward graduated with a degree in natural science from Downing College Cambridge where he was also a choral scholar. Since then he has been teaching Mathematics at a top independent school in Berkshire. As well as tutoring students in the boarding house he coaches fencing to students of all abilities. His other interests include music and as well as being an accomplished piano player he plays the French horn and the guitar.
Oliver Peat
English Language TeacherOliver graduated with a degree in Spanish and French from Exeter University. A former head boy of Sevenoaks School he currently teachers in the Modern languages department at a top independent school in Berkshire. He spent a year teaching English in Spain and is a keen sailor as well as playing racket sports.
Mike Denhart
Resident TutorMike graduated with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages from Durham University before studying for a postgraduate degree in Education at Oxford. As well as teaching French and Spanish he is the Senior Assistant Housemaster at a top independent boarding school in Berkshire. Mike is also in charge of the College Sailing Club and is an instructor in the CCF Navy section. He has worked on a number of residential Summer schools in the past.
Emma Beardmore
Resident TutorEmma graduated with a 1st class degree in Natural sciences from Cambridge. After working at a top independent boarding school in Berkshire she is now a physics teacher at Magdalen College School in Oxford. A keen hockey, netball and tennis coach Emma has experience of working at Summer School programmes in Cambridge and Berkshire.
