China UK Education

China UK Education was setup in 2013 as a response to the growing need from Chinese students to experience the elite education system in the UK.

Students are often excited and nervous in equal measures about studying overseas. Participating in a summer school course can help overcome any fears and expose them to different teaching styles. The summer school runs for two or three weeks in July / August and offers a taste of English language lessons combined with sporting and cultural activities. We offer excursions to historical sites in London and visits to top UK universities. The summer courses pack in such a full schedule that students don’t have time to be homesick but leave feeling positive and confident that they can cope with being away from home and excited to come back for more.

Students are placed into boarding houses each of which would have a Housemaster or Housemistress and a resident tutor. This is the sort of environment that will nurture students while still giving them freedom to grow away from home.

Additionally, many families use summer courses as a way to give their child’s English a boost. Students can study for years in China without getting a grasp on the language, but simply putting them in the right environment can grow their abilities by leaps and bounds. The combination of an immersive English environment and daily interaction with native speakers builds students’ confidence expressing themselves in English. Once your child has this new outlook on English learning, they can build on their foundation wherever they are.

Summer courses are equivalent to summer camps – they are all about having fun, making friends, and getting the experience of a lifetime. Joining a close community of peers and teachers, spending time playing and learning together, developing close friendships, and being physically active and creative is a supremely healthy experience that I think all children should have.
